Born and raised in Massachusetts, USCG Capt. Michael Conley has been a lifelong resident of New England waters for over 45 years. As a ( Navy brat) I've been on the water and around boats my whole life. My dad gave me his love for the ocean and it's never left me. I fish mainly Boston Harbor from June to mid-August for stripers and bluefish, then around Marthas Vineyard from August to October chasing bonito and albies. Fly fishing is my passion and in 1987 I came in tied for 1st place at the Marthas Vineyard Derby in the boat fly rod division for bonito.
USCG Captain license # 1136389
I use a 2005 Jones Brothers 19' Cape Fisherman center console with a 115HP Yamaha 4 stroke engine. This boat is considered by everyone as one of the best boats on the water today. Wide open for fly fishing, with hidden cleats and lots of bow space to cast and play a fish. It's equipped with a livewell when using pogies or mackeral and has a state of the art GPS Garmin Fishfinder.
